Grids

How the grid systems work.

The Markup Framework comes bundled with about a dozen different grid systems that you can easily port into your own custom Web designs.

Unlike most other HTML frameworks, the Markup Framework's grids are not intended to be used to define the main structure of a Web page. Rather they are intended to help set apart individual items of content within existing zones of a Web page layout.

All grids are therefore fluid, so they can be dropped into Web page zones of any width.

All grids are responsive. On small screens and when printed, column "spans" are arranged vertically. All grids have just a single breakpoint where the multi-column layout snaps into place.

Grids are available in 12-column, 16-column and 24-column flavors.
