Overview

What is the Markup Framework?

The Markup Framework is a starting point for Web design.

It is a collection of HTML and CSS components – typographic styles, forms and controls, layouts and grids, and reusable user interface widgets – that you can use as a basis for your own custom Web themes.

The Markup Framework focuses on providing a basic skeleton from which you can build up new custom designs, rather than providing ready-to-ship designs straight out of the box.

The Markup Framework largely consists of plain HTML and CSS files. There is little JavaScript, and no interpretation is required to render output. The idea is that you can easily copy-and-paste into your own programs the bits that are useful to you.
